Palm Beach Atlantic University has partnered with Stellic to provide their campus with a student-centered degree management system. By providing students with modern tools for degree planning and advising, PBA will improve their student experience and subsequently drive better student engagement and retention.
Observing the recent changes brought on by distance learning, PBA recognized that their institution was in need of an online degree management platform with a 21st century intuitive design and personalized academic blueprints. Additionally, one of their key focus areas was better serving online, transfer, and graduate students. PBA ultimately turned to Stellic because it is designed by and for 21st century learners, and speaks to students in a digital experience they expect. By leveraging cutting-edge technology (like artificial intelligence), PBA will provide pathways for current and prospective students with accurate progress and transfer articulation towards graduation. While expanding online and traditional programs, they will ensure each student receives a personalized and transformational experience.
PBA also required a degree management platform that boosts efficiency and visibility for faculty, and encourages student self-advocacy and engagement with academic services. They aimed to create a rapport between students and faculty in which meaningful conversations about their academic and professional future can be fostered at scale. Stellic expedites this process by first, providing students with a real-time, single source of truth for tracking and planning their degree. Second, Stellic provides a direct messaging channel for students to connect with advisors about their plans so there is no need to waste valuable advising office hours on logistical tasks and updates.
PBA students aren’t the only benefactors when it comes to Stellic. Academic advisors are now able to take proactive steps with robust reporting and filtration on advisees to identify those falling off track and ensure timely degree completion for all students. PBA leadership will also be able to use Stellic’s analytics to gain deeper insight into what courses and resources are needed to maximize student success as they look into the future.
